CRAFTS FROM TRASH

Every Saturday there would be volunteers conducting lessons on making recycled handicraft. It is open for campus students, staff and also the public who are interested. A fee of $5 would be charged per session.

TOUR DE TRASH

The one-day tour where school children get to visit the recycling center and also the composting site in University Malaya where they decompose food waste into organic fertilizers. Children will get in touch and be personal with what they throw everyday. This a a great learning experience to promote sustainable lifestyle among our future generation.

REUSE DESIGN CHALLENGE

Every semester we would organize a Reuse Design Challenge reaching out to students from University Malaya and also from different universities as well. Those participated in this challenge will each get a Green Cert made out of recycled cardboards. The winner will be win cash worth of $35.

EDUCATION AND OUTREACH

We would be establishing a Recycling Outreach Team where we would get representatives from each course be our channel of communication reaching to students from various courses by updating them weekly on the types of recyclables and how to differentiate recyclables, compost and what goes to the landfill.
